Medusa
Medusa is a companion piece to Snaked — the same body, the same ornaments, rebuilt into a different creature. Where Snaked pinned its figure against a field of red like a specimen, Medusa rises out of darkness: a figure crowned in thorned chrome, framed by vast wings of layered blackened metal that spread behind her like a dark halo. A single gold ornament seals her eyes, leaving only the mouth exposed. The piece explores how far one set of elements can be pushed — the same sculpted ornaments, redistributed and relit, shifting the figure from specimen to deity. Deep violets replace red; devotion replaces display. Sculpted in ZBrush, assembled and rendered in Cinema 4D with Redshift.
